Post your opportunities and resources: COMMENT on this post.
If you are having problems posting to the BLOG, try to post a COMMENT to this entry and see if that works.
Anyone should be able to comment...hopefully!
After graduating I am thinking about doing some residencies, putting my name out there and just getting grants or fellowships to help me create. Here are some opportunities I am looking at.
Among all the unknowns, there are some things I do know about my future: I want to move to Maine (as Jesse has just started a tenure track teaching job in Farmington), and I want teach. There are a few residencies I'd like to do, but right now I am more interested in finding a sustainable rhythm of making and working than moving around every 6 months. I also want to get in the habit of continually applying for grants and exhibition opportunities. Also, I want to find ways to disseminate my work in addition to gallery exhibition, such as submitting my projects to art blogs, curated websites or other periodicals.
Opportunities I intend to apply for:
Skowhegan Summer Residency Program http://www.skowheganart.org/index.php?page=home
CAA Fellowship for MFA students http://www.collegeart.org/fellowships/
A perfect job in the right location: Tenure track sculpture faculty position at Bowdoin College (perhaps out of my league, but still good for practice) https://careers.bowdoin.edu/applicants/jsp/shared/frameset/Frameset.jsp?time=1378925626032
Photomediations Machine: a curated online space where the dynamic relations of mediation as performed in photography and other media can be encountered, experienced and engaged. http://photomediationsmachine.net/submissions/?utm_source=Artsadmin+List&utm_campaign=e89e0b5a62-Artsadmin+E-digest+Issue+566&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_48c680cd56-e89e0b5a62-294803822
