Artwork
My own artwork has a
strong design sensibility/element:
·
Research/Writing
Process
o
I love working with objects and considering how
they can communicate a concept to a targeted audience most effectively.
o
Each object is a denotation but has a rich
visual, conceptual, cultural and identity driven connotation.
o
When
working, I write, speak to people who use the object, look into its history,
write some more, and begin a complex
process of 2d and 3d design, followed by material acquisition and potential
outsourcing to make the work as realistic and flawlessly executed within a
specific budget and timeline as possible.
o
The emphasis should be on the emotions the
object calls to mind, the range of experiences and feelings it has the power to
evoke, rather than its execution.
o
This means each object must be flawless.
·
Design Process
o
employ a variety of 3d and 2d design programs to
visualize the work

§
use comprehensive 2 and 3d representations to
ensure accuracy
§
understand the material properties/costs to
carry on an informed conversation with the manufacturer in question
§
be firm but flexible- know when to stand my
ground and when the idea has to change over time according to cost and material
demands.
Designwork

I have also included a specific line of products here:
§
geared towards the feminine in design (although
I can design for a broader audience)
§
This innovative line of jewelry, furniture,

and the home.
§

new yet comforting, cutting edge but with a sense of the warmth of human
relationships
